HOW TO APPLY

ERASMUS+ BIP (Blended Intensive Programme)

Virtual Mobility 24 February to 25 April 2025

Physical Mobility 10 May to 18 May 2025, Gdansk

The Marine Data Literacy course is an Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive educational experience. Erasmus BIP courses are short, intensive programmes that employ innovative methods of learning and teaching, incorporating online cooperation to facilitate a rich, multifaceted educational environment. These programmes often involve challenge-based learning, where transnational and transdisciplinary teams collaborate to address real-world challenges, including those related to the United Nations’ sustainable development goals or other societal issues identified by regions, cities, or companies.

The attached graphic shows the structure of the Marine Data Literacy course. The course is divided into two main parts: the BIP portion and the Online Project. The BIP portion comprises two phases, totaling 3 ECTS credits. The first phase, Virtual Mobility, involves introductory lectures and is worth 1 ECTS credits. Following this, the second phase, Physical Mobility, focuses on practical sessions and accounts for 2 ECTS credits. After successfully completing these two phases, students proceed to the Online Project phase, which begins during the Physical Mobility phase.

This structured approach ensures that students engage in a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, facilitated through both in-person and online interactions, embodying the essence of Erasmus BIPs by fostering international collaboration and innovative educational practices.
